Roofing Dumpster Rentals
Keep shingles, underlayment, flashing, and other approved tear-off debris contained with a 15- or 20-yard roll-off dumpster delivered to the roofing project.
A Clearer Way to Handle the Debris.
Roofing debris becomes heavy quickly, especially when a structure has multiple shingle layers. A container positioned near the work area can reduce scattered debris and repeated trailer trips while helping the crew maintain a more organized site.
Merit serves roofing projects throughout Colorado Springs, Woodland Park, El Paso County, and Teller County. Tell us the roof size, number of layers, material type, and placement conditions before booking so the container and weight plan match the job.
When This Rental Makes Sense
Asphalt Shingles
Contain approved shingles and underlayment from common residential tear-off projects.
Roof Repairs
Give repair crews a designated place for removed decking and approved roofing debris.
Siding & Exterior Work
Coordinate approved siding, trim, and exterior renovation debris with the roof cleanup.
Contractor Swaps
Plan container exchanges for multi-stage projects, subject to scheduling and availability.
15 Yard or 20 Yard?
Both containers are approximately 12 feet long by 8 feet wide. The 15-yard has walls about 4.2 feet high; the 20-yard about 5.6 feet, providing more volume.
15 Yard
A lower-wall option for smaller roofs, repairs, and projects where easier over-the-side loading matters. Final suitability depends on shingle weight and layers.
20 Yard
More volume for larger tear-offs and bulky mixed roofing debris. A 20-yard container can reach its weight limit before it looks full, so project details must be confirmed.
Material matters: Roofing shingles can exceed the included 2 tons before the container is full. Additional weight charges may apply. Review the rental and debris rules or call before loading anything unusually dense or regulated.
A Better Drop Starts With a Better Plan.
Estimate Squares and Layers
Shingle weight depends on roof area, material, and how many layers are being removed.
Choose a Safe Placement Area
Keep delivery access clear and select firm, level private property whenever possible.
Load Evenly Below the Rail
Distribute shingles and debris instead of concentrating all the weight on one side.
Request Pickup Before Crew Leaves
Coordinate the pickup or swap early so a full container does not delay the next stage.
What size dumpster do I need for roofing shingles?
The right size depends on roof square footage, shingle type, number of layers, and other debris. Provide those details before booking so Merit can recommend the 15- or 20-yard option and discuss weight.
Are 2 tons included with a roofing dumpster?
Yes. Merit's base rentals include 2 tons. Roofing debris over the included allowance may result in additional weight charges.
Can you swap a full roofing dumpster?
Container swaps may be available based on scheduling, location, and inventory. Contractors should request a swap as early as possible.
Can a roofing dumpster be placed in the street?
Street or public right-of-way placement in Colorado Springs may require a city revocable permit. Private-driveway placement is usually simpler, but customers should also review HOA or property rules.
