- The walls are about 4 feet tall. Most people can lift a bag or a board over the side without a step. On the 20-yard you clear 5.6 feet.
- Same 12 × 8 footprint as the 20-yard, so it fits the same driveway spots.
- Same 2 tons included. For dense material like tile, plaster or shingles the 15-yard usually hits the weight limit before it looks full, so the extra height of a 20-yard would not help you.

Where It Goes and How to Load It
The container takes a 12 by 8 foot spot on a driveway or firm private ground, and the truck needs a straight run to set it down. Boards under the rails protect concrete, as in the photo; mention a finished driveway when you book. Load heavy items first and spread them out, keep everything level with the top rail, and leave the door end clear.
Street placement in Colorado Springs can need a city permit. HOA rules may limit how long a container sits out. Read the placement guide and the permit guide, and check what can and cannot go in.
Will a couch fit in a 15 yard dumpster?
Yes. The container is 12 feet long and 8 feet wide, and a standard three-seat sofa is about 7 feet long, so it lays flat with room to spare. A sectional fits in pieces. Stand cushions on end around it and you lose almost no space.
How many pickup loads is 15 cubic yards?
About six. A standard pickup bed holds roughly 2 to 2.5 cubic yards heaped. If your pile would take more than six trips to the transfer station, step up to the 20-yard.

Is a 15 yard dumpster big enough for a roof?
For a small roof, yes, but weight decides it, not space. A single layer of asphalt shingles runs 250 to 400 lb per square, so the 2-ton allowance covers roughly 10 to 15 squares. Tell us the square count and layers and we will say which container fits. See the roofing dumpster page.
What happens if I go over 2 tons?
Weight over the included 2 tons is billed per ton from the scale ticket under the overage terms shown during booking. If you are loading concrete, dirt, tile or wet material, read what 2 tons looks like first or just call.
Can I keep it longer than 3 days?
Yes. Book the 5-day rental for $395, or call if you need more time. Extra days past the rental window may add a charge.
