Why the 20-yard is the better value for bulky loads

Where It Goes and How to Load It
The container takes a 12 by 8 foot spot on a driveway or firm private ground, and the truck needs a straight run to set it down. Boards under the rails protect concrete, as in the photo; mention a finished driveway when you book. Load heavy items first and spread them out, keep everything level with the top rail, and leave the door end clear.
Street placement in Colorado Springs can need a city permit. HOA rules may limit how long a container sits out. Read the placement guide and the permit guide, and check what can and cannot go in.
Will a couch fit in a 20 yard dumpster?
Easily. At 12 feet by 8 feet, a three-seat sofa, a loveseat and a mattress set all lay flat on the floor of the container, with the full 5.6 feet of wall height still open above them.
How many pickup loads is 20 cubic yards?
About eight, using a standard pickup bed at 2 to 2.5 cubic yards heaped. That is roughly a full-size home cleanout or a kitchen plus a bathroom remodel.
What is included in the $380?
Delivery, pickup and disposal of up to 2 tons (4,000 lb) within our standard service area, for 3 days. The 5-day rental is $425. Extra weight, extra days or an address outside the standard area can add charges, and we tell you before anything is booked.
Is the 20-yard too big for a driveway?
No. It takes the same 12 × 8 foot space as the 15-yard; only the walls are taller. The truck does need a straight approach to set it down. See the placement and driveway guide.
Should I get the 20-yard for a roof tear-off?
Only if there is bulky material besides shingles. Shingles are heavy, not bulky: 250 to 400 lb per square, so 2 tons covers roughly 10 to 15 squares in either container. Tell us the square count and layers. See the roofing dumpster page.
What happens if I go over 2 tons?
Weight over the included 2 tons is billed per ton from the scale ticket under the overage terms shown during booking. Call before loading anything dense and we will plan around it.
